You guys need to update that you are closed for donations on mondays. I drove all the way down here out of my way to donate a SECOND TIME, no parking risking a ticket. AND YOU ARE CLOSED. I guess all this stuff is going in the trash. I tried to donate VERY HARD. good job Salvation Army.

Best managed store in area. Great turnover of items and large donation loading dock. Very helpful and friendly staff.
A pleasant experience! I cleaned out my basement so I had a van's worth of stuff including heavy items. There was a gentleman there who helped me unload the van and separated the items on my behalf. You can drive-in to the unloading area and the receipts are on the side for self-help. Drove in from Brooklyn and was overall happy with my experience.
Note that the donation hours are limited. As of November 2020 they were only taking donations from 7:30 to 3:30 Tuesday to Friday and from 8-2 pm on Saturday even though the store is open until 5 pm. Also, the entrance to the donation dock is on 15th street, which is a one way street going westward from Grove St to Erie St. You have to approach from Grove and then turn onto 15th St. The gate into the donation dock/parking lot is most of the way down the block on the left hand side of the street. Google Maps shows another Salvation Army entrance on Erie St, but that entrance was locked due to COVID when I visited it. I think the door on Erie St goes to the adult rehabilitation center, rather than the store/donation center. If you’re donating you want to go to 15th St. It’s great to have this donation center in Jersey City!
