We drove up there, weren't quite sure where they were and called. While waiting for them to answer, my daughter was asked if she was looking to rent a kayak, so I hung up - we found them on our own. Very friendly folks with some of the best prices we found. They get the kayak ready for you, provide life-jackets, and a laminated map of the islands. We have kayaked before so they didn't give us a \how-to\ but feel they would have since they asked if we have done this before. Gave us a couple pointers and we were on our way. As we were paddling out, my phone rang - it was them calling me back from a few minutes ago. Left a very nice professional message. We had two double kayaks and had a good time going around a few of the islands, landing on a couple to look around. As we were heading out to the inlet, they cautioned us to be careful of the tides. We had them for two hours and felt that was a good time...it you plan on hanging out on the islands a bit then you may want more. We got there a bit past 9am trying to avoid the afternoon heat. Would use again without hesitation!

This is a free County and City Park that allows you to walk on pavement deep into the Gulf of Mexico. You get to see everything from small boats to million dollar boats travel past you and if you stay long enough, you have a real good chance of seeing dolphins, a lot of big fish being caught and even the possibility of seeing sharks and manatees.

Nice views of the waterway and gulf beaches. Plenty of benches to sit and relax. Hungry? Don't pass by the Sandbox for yummy hot dogs at reasonable prices.Try the Belly Buster.

Disappointed! The shop is closed in the middle of the week without any notice on the website or their Google My Business. When I called them they said that they had spontaneously decided to close today. It would have been more professional to inform customers with a post, sign, or other notice. There’s even a sign saying they’re open in the parking lot...

This was a great experience all around. They are super friendly and helpful. I rented two paddleboards for my two teenage daughters ... their first time on a paddleboard. They were given a quick lesson and a few tips. Their goal was to try to paddle out of the jetty and down to Nokomis Beach where the rest of our family was ... and back. As they started out, the guy kept double checking on them ... making sure they were ok. When they headed back, I arrived back at the launch site before them ... the guy told me that they had done a good job. I asked him how he knew. He had asked some fishermen that he knew if they had seen two girls on paddleboards. The other thing I liked was that it was a fast process. Sometimes, the overhead at a big company makes the rental process drag on forever before you can get out on the water. This was a handful of minutes, at most ... sign the form, make the payment ... in the water. Thank you for a great experience.
