I cannot say enough good things about this winery and family that owns/operates it! Wine is spectacular, balanced, easy to drink with or without food. The wine maker and his family really put their heart & soul into the wine, the venue and the overall experience of visiting their vineyard. It is a MUST TRY for anyone visiting the Texas Hill Country! They are off the beaten path, but it seems like those are the best places these days.

Great place! Fantastic property with scenic views and a little off the beaten path. Good choice if you want something that is a little less busy than some of the options in the immediate Fredericksburg area. Owners are super friendly and willing to answer any and all questions. Very hospitable. The wine is also wonderful and fairly priced! I agree with the other review that this is (probably) the first Texas winery where I liked everything that I tried and they give you a pretty nice variety. We will be back.

Outstanding wines made with Texas grapes. Serene vineyard setting away from all the chaos. Their small staff is well versed in winemaking and grapes and they are very friendly. A great place to escape to. If the weather is good enjoy a tasting in their open air elevated tasting deck.

Fantastic experience in the Texas Hill Country! The tree top tasting is not to be missed. And the wine is among the best in Texas!

We recently enjoyed a tasting at Sandy Road and couldn't have had a better experience. It's been a long time since we've liked EVERY single wine when visiting a new winery. We enjoyed it so much that we chose to become members! It's a darling little boutique winery with charming and passionate staff! Make your reservations to enjoy their wines soon!

A winery that is a bit off the main road but well worth the trip. Was open for only a few months but the wine and experience was terrific. The tasting was in a treehouse overlooking the vineyard and they provided a plate of amazing cheese, fruit and sweets to pair with the wine.

A group of friends and I recently visited Sandy Oak Vineyard, and the trip was incredible from the start. It is a hidden gem. The drive back to the tasting painted a picture of family love. We learned about “Grandma”, the family business, and enjoyed some amazing wine all from a treetop overlooking the vineyard. We loved the wine, the view, and the family feel so much that we became members. The evening was complete with a walk through the fields where we enjoyed grapes right off the vine. I know big things are going to happen here, and we were thrilled to visit it at their very beginning!
