I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2016. I knew instantly that I wanted a bilateral mastectomy WITHOUT reconstruction. When I met with Dr. Nancy Taft she asked me gently if that is what I truly want, to remain flat. We talked for another 15 minutes, joked, made each other laugh quite a bit and then she squeezed my hand and said: \ I know now that staying flat is truly the right choice for you.\ She performed the surgery just 3 weeks later and gave me the most amazing results that other women in the same situation only dream about.
