I love the BJJ Academy! Whether you want to become a competitor in martial arts or to learn to protect yourself, this is the place to go. Awesome way to get in great condition while learning self defense. Beginners are always welcomed and are helped through the process by all the upper belt coaches. When you train there you become part of a large family, who are all geared around becoming highly skilled in Jiu Jitsu. I have been training for over a year now and it's become part of my life. Tim Bruce is an excellent instructor and anyone who doesn't train under him is missing out. I definitely recommend this school.

Tim Bruce is a very technical teacher. Jiu Jitsu is as much mental as it is physical. Tim will challenge you in both aspects whether you've trained for years or are on day 1. The atmosphere in the gym is easy going. However, there is no shortage of training partners if you wish to train hard. Camaraderie is big with this group. If you start missing classes someone will be checking up on you to see where you're at.

The BJJ Academy was a blast. The class was fast paced and challenging. BJJ is the best way to get in shape, build stamina and increase flexibility. This academy has a strong sense of community built by a core group of experts. Being a rookie was not a problem since the instructor was able to cater to all skill levels, also challenging the long time practitioners. The instructor (Bruce) always promotes self-control and safety for one another while training, so I’ve started bringing my teen with me!

After checking out other schools in the area, and training under Tim Bruce for just two weeks, he convinced me to sign up and become a part of the BJJ Academy family. It wasn't a hard sell when you consider how varied the class schedules are, and how many new people are always coming in to train with. I recommend BJJ and this school in particular to anyone looking to get in shape or compete. No one goes home disappointed
