Aloha! Very nice Japanese restaurant in Kona. Good food and reasonable prices. My family always enjoys a warm ramen and curry plates at this spot. Service speedy and friendly. Dine in open. Everything they serve are delicious. My fave are the Tan Tan ramen and the Pork Cutlet Curry.

Affordable fast food! Service is also extremely fast I've never waited longer than 15 minutes for food to arrive. The staff is also very friendly. They're also extremely quick on pickup orders. I've been nearby and called in order for pick and upon arriving five minutes later it was ready to go.

Really great service. Quick and easy menu. Lots of space for the family. Or, if it's just you. You can sit on the bar and have a quick bite.

Tasty ramen on Kona. We tried the tonkatsu ramen, spicy tonkatsu ramen, spicy beef ramen and the pork fried rice. Tonkatsu tasted good and as you'd expect. Spicy tonkatsu was spicy... But the spicy came from a Szechuan peppercorn type of spice. It definitely wasn't a Japanese type of flavor. The fried rice was good. Had that original Japanese stir fry flavor. All in all, made for a good dinner on a rainy night in Kona.

TL:DR - If you are coming for ramen, go elsewhere. Anything else, this place is good! I have traveled to all 50 states in the US and eaten at a lot of ramen places. This is very much "Fast food Ramen". It took 2 minutes tops from the time I ordered my tonkatsu ramen until it was at my table. My drink was quick to be refilled and the staff were attentive. There was 0 presentation, just a bowl of white liquid from what it looked like. The noodles were tough and I'm sure sitting under a heat lamp for a good while before being serving. The chashu was small and thin but I got 3 pieces so that was nice.. The broth was ok. The naruto was very thin. Unimpressed. I read a lot of reviews from weeks prior where the owner informed other complaints things would be fixed. This dish has not been changed for months from what I experienced.

Tonkotsu ramen had two small half pieces of chashu. The egg was completely hard boiled (and only half at that) Noodles were straight top ramen from the shelf. Broth had no taste. Overall the worst meal I’ve had on Kona.

Staff are super nice however the food was subpar. Gyoza was burnt and the Tonkatsu ramen was totally flavorless. Would not get that again. Might consider coming back for something else, but honestly this was disappointing.
