Absolutely incredible way to see the island! The safety, pilot experience and overall tour navigation was top notch. Eric was the best pilot, super knowledgeable about all the major points of interest. Flew into an area between two mountains and executed a perfect 180 turn to see the longest waterfall on Big Island. Truely worth every cent!

After flying with larger operators, it was nice to be treated like ohana and not a number. We were promptly greeted even though we were early. We were seated on a comfortable patio and given a snack and water during our pre-flight talk. Helen have us and overview of the flight and some interesting information about Hawaiian history and legends. The pilot joined us with some additional information. Very casual and unrushed. We took the full island two-hour tour of the Big Island which included the active volcano. Our pilot Jacob was very informative. There were three of us and we chartered their 66 copter (holds four passengers). This guaranteed each of us a window seat. The cost of this was just slightly more than the cost at the larger operators, but will worth it as I always get stuck in a rear center seat and fight got views the whole trip. Also, the flight wenta few minutes longer than the two hours we booked. At the big operators, their large copters usually stop for fuel in Hilo which cuts 15 mins off your flight time. We'll always fly Mauna Loa over the big operators and we have them 5 Stars. Too things that are different, but not necessarily negatives: The headsets do not play music fitting the flight. Instead, you get to listen to all the chatter between copter pilots and ATC. We found it interesting. Second, some other copters record your flight and then sell you the recording. Take your camera and take the shots you want for free. A big MAHALO to Jacob, Helen and the MLH crew for an awesome experience.

Had an AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! They were super easy to schedule with and had many time slots open. Went on the Kona beach line tour and Page was our pilot. He is local to the Big Island he had a ton of useful information during the tour. This is our 2nd helicopter tour in Hawaii and think its an absolute must! Very affordable and always the highlight of our trip. Big shout out to Page and Mauna Loa Helicopter Tours for making the whole experience super memorable

We took helicopter tour on 02/25/2021. We were soo excited abt the tours as we had seen great pictures and reviews abt BIg Island valley tours( Magical waterfall experience ) ,but it turned out to be dissapointment for the money we spent. It's overrated and views were almost from the altitude of the flights. We were expecting the pilot to take us inbetween valleys but he mentioned due to wind conditions we can't go into the valleys. I would have rated the tours more stars if we were taken into the valleys. Mostly we saw valleys from sea coastline and it was good but not breathtaking. I recommend to spend such big bucks only if you are going into the valleys instead of just seeing valleys from sea coastline.

Kai was an excellent host and tour guide, and a very skilled pilot. The weather prevented us from flying over lava flows, but he designed a great tour otherwise with craters, cinder cones and other lava features, the north coast with awesome canyons and waterfalls, and along the shore looking at great beaches, and sporting dolphins and manta rays. We wrapped up with a peak at Capt Cook memorial overlooking another cool bay. Awesome experience. Highly recommended!

We were a party of four. We were very pleased with our experience from our initial internet interaction to our check in experience to our 2 hour island flight. It was a perfect day for a flight and our pilot Paige was absolutely outstanding. The actual flying was excellent and the in flight description and conversation was very enjoyable. Of course, the views were breathtaking and then more breathtaking! Highly recommended!
