The Kansas Children’s Discovery Center is a hands-on children’s museum with a mission to enhance the lives of children and enrich the communities it serves. Since opening in 2011 in Topeka, Kansas, the Discovery Center has become a special place where children can explore, create, discover and learn through play. The museum has hosted visitors from all 50 states and 23 countries. The Discovery Center features over 15,000 square feet of indoor education exhibits, including science, careers, building, art, and a 4.5 acre certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom. Daily programs, field trips, birthday parties and other special events provide additional opportunities for serious fun. Outreach programs bring quality, hands-on experiences into our community to inspire a lifelong love of learning for every child.

This place is a safe haven for my sanity when it's too cold or hot for the kids to enjoy outside time. The staff is amazing. All the exhibits are fun for every age. I love that we can bring in our own snacks. I've made many mom-friends here

Great place to go for the kiddos year round, they usually have updated areas. 100 bucks gets a family 1 year of access. They have indoor and out door play areas. Great for all weather conditions.

This Grandma recommends it! Our grandson's birthday party was fantastic. They have an excellent events room you can rent and it includes admission for all of your party guests. There were so many activities - indoors and out - for ALL of the kids - big and small. We had children 1 thru 12 with us. Plus, the adults had just as much fun discovering as the kids.

Not as big as I thought it would be. Half of the area was outside & you will need bug spray because of the mosquitos. Geared more towards younger children. My 9 year old got bored quickly. It was busy when we went & there were lines for almost everything. Younger children could spend hours there.
