Reserved a truck a week in advance. My reservation confirmation totaled 156.00. Went there to pick up my truck. They proceeded to tell me it would be 290!? I showed them my confirmation email showing the 156.00. She said, \Well we are a franchise. And sometimes our prices aren't the same.\ She then somehow changed it 240. Still 90 more. They also made me call my insurance company. And confirm, through their own written questions about whether they cover insurance on the truck. Then charge you 40 for their insurance.
I was in a real pinch on Nov 6 and I spoke to Tom at Budget in this location. Tom was great to deal with! Not pushy at all and gave me a heck of a good deal with a rental. The car I received was a brand new Jeep Cherokee with 4k miles. I also had to pick up another 1 way rental on Nov. 10th. Tom assured me there would be a car for me on Nov. 10th to drop off in Des Moines which there was. The process was incredibly smooth and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes on both instances. Great Experience for sure!
My experience with budget was positive the agent was friendly and extremely helpful.
Was going to rent a sports car. Arrived first thing in the morning to find out that I had to have full coverage on my own insurance and 1,000 deposit neither I was told about. Even purchasing their insurance would not have covered it. Could not transfer anything. Had to cancel the entire rental at the start of a vacation.
