in 2013 Your shelter was a much better place than the streets for me. I needed a hospital for spinal surgery. You gave ma a bed and I am grateful. I shouldn't but , well, you had an employee by the name of Harold who was a bully to those down on their luck. He was inhumane. All is well now in Sothern California. Oh, Also, you Should Not shove religion down anyone's throat. Keep religion to your self and the world will heal faster. Because of that, I am giving you a two. A two is not good, but it is better than the streets. PEACE

City Union Mission is a bright spot for many homeless and underprivileged people and families in the Kansas City area. This event is the yearly motorcycle ride which raises money for a great cause.

Excellent place to find shelter and fill your stomach at night (for men). However, the 10 minute orientation film without further information or instructions makes the initial proceess confusing and difficult. Don't even tell you that after your intake you must go to the security desk and sign up for a bed. Was just told to follow the crowd. In the orientation film you are told to ask staff for further instructions however, in reality, the majority of the staff won't even take the time to assist you.

Kicked me out coldest day so far this year only because I wouldn't join their NBC program. I am already a firm Christian looking to get on my feet and volunteered daily while I was there after being hospitalized for a suicide attempt. Marshall is clearly overwhelmed in his new position and unable to reason cognitatively or he wouldn't send a suicidal person out even though I have not caused any problems or broken any rules.

It was horrible!!!! The place was nasty. Also as a gender queer individual I was doing my makeup because I had a bus to catch in the morning and one of the people in charge said to me \ You cannot put on makeup here. It is one of our rules. Please put it away.\ Now how in the world is putting on cosmetics a violation of the rules? I was so upset. I would rather walk the streets than stay in a place that doesn't allow people to Express themselves freely.
