The shrimp creole was fresh and cooked perfectly. The shrimp were not over cooked, they tasted fresh and like seafood not rubber. The pepper was the main spice which covered some of the flavor and blended the perfectly cooked rice, tomatoes, onions and shrimp to taste alike. Good dish overall.

We visited The Jazz this past Saturday evening 1/9/21, my husband and I. To us, this is one of those \treats\ we don't do often. We had been looking forward to going again. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in the visit. My husband ordered the blackened catfish and it was soggy. The dirty rice, which came with his meal and I ordered a side of was grainy. When we ordered a dozen raw oysters we asked for hot sauce. Usually they bring us a bottle of hot sauce. This time she brought out some little container with this sauce that was rather unpleasant to eat. We just settled for the horseradish and cocktail sauce instead. I always order the stuffed zucchini, well, it wasn't what it used to be. The cheesy stuffing was runny, not cheesy like it used to be. The zucchini was not cooked as well as it used to be, it was a bit crunchy. The wait staff.......our waitress never removed the oyster pan from our table after we were done. We had to flag her down for more drinks. We never got more bread. I don't think we will be back and I don't think we will be recommending the restaurant again.

I visited this location upon recommendation of locals in the area. To my surprise I was very disappointed. The building its self is older, which is to be expected in the Kc area, but the restaurant was very poorly lit & smelt of mildew. The service was sub-par at most & we witnessed our waitress taking shots back behind the bar in between customers. Must of been a rough night! I ordered the Sea food platter as well as a bowl of the Jambalaya to try. Needless to say, I was disappointed in the food as well. The food was VERY greasy & tasted mostly of old grease vs actual food with flavor and the Jambalaya was a disappointment as well. The other factors wouldn't of been so bothersome if the food was substantial, but unfortunately that was not the case here! I've had better Cajun food at other restaurants outside of Kc! Maybe the other locations with this chain are better in the area, who knows! I don't normally write poor reviews at all, but I would definitely not recommend this location unfortunately. I would spend my money elsewhere!

Authentic cajun food. We had fried pickles and gumbo for appetizers which had wonderful flavor and consistency but not too much. !! We had blackened chicken and I can't remember name of other dish ... Chicken, shrimp, pasta, with the mixed sauce I think and scallops. Hush puppies and their own sauce for dipping hit the spot. I'll def go back

Okay so the food was very tasty. I had a craving for Cajun chicken pasta and I was not disappointed. Will be my go to for Creole food.
