I'm very disappointed with my first impression of this facility. First, We live over 30 min away from this facility. At 2:00 pm I called to confirm our appointment was at 2:30 pm. I was told that my appointment was actually at 2:15 pm. The receptionist/ nurse at the front told me that if we are 15 minutes late we will NOT be seen, but also told me to come anyways. So I continued to the facility. I arrived at exactly 2:24 pm- I called the front desk per instructions on the sign. *Due to COVID* you need to be screen. (understandable) We were greeted, but with you need to reschedule *but* you are welcome to fill out paperwork. This was a HUGE inconvenience as, we have a total of 5 children- I had to find someone to stay with 4 of them while I brought one to see a psychiatrist. None of what has been occurring in our world has been easy on anyone. Especially our children. My child has been struggling, and they were more concerned with being 9 minutes late than gaining a new client, and potentially helping a child. Never in my life have I encountered a situation like this. My opinion is that I should have read the reviews before scheduling an appointment with this place for my child. It obviously has 2.5 stars for a reason. If a facility like this deals with their clients in this manner, I can't help but wonder how much patience love and compassion they would show to my child. So glad I decided to leave and not fill out new patient paperwork. We will be looking for a provider elsewhere. *I want to make a note that, I believe the woman at the front desk was willing and able to have my child seen, but the gentleman who was overseeing her was rude and refused to see us. I also asked if there was another facility closer to OP he said NO not for adolescents.*

I was sent here about two years ago and Unit 8 was amazing and incredibly helpful to me. I know there are major differences between units, so I was lucky to get a good one. The space was not cramped, like other wards I've been in, things were kept clean, and the staff I encountered were really nice.

my daughter was in crittenton for a short time. and I just wanted to thank all the staff and all the people there I have my daughter back and it's been over a year without a problem. sometimes I think extreme children need people who know how to go the extra mile and who are trying to do so.I think you couldn't staff for getting my daughter back she's on track and doing well even advanced a year in school I appreciate all you do

This place basically scarred me. It resembles a jail more than a real mental health facility. The only windows there are barred up so you can barely see the outside, the foods awful and they make you take medication that you don’t need. After my experience here I was afraid to seek any kind of mental health treatment for 3 years because I was afraid it would resemble Crittenton. Parents please DONT send your child here if you want them to get better.

I called to have my son evaluated due to destructive behavior and rage. I told the screener he has made comments about thinking about hurting himself, going after my dogs and fearing for my safety. He said he didn't qualify for inpatient treatment and to call the outpatient office. I called and left a message a week ago and no return call. The behaviors are continuing and getting worse to the point I may have to call the police instead of my son getting treatment like he needs. This place obviously doesn't care.
