Waiting nearly 4 hrs from time of arrival to finally getting an IV to get meds for pain on the scale of 9 to 10 is absolutely unacceptable for a facility of this magnitude. This ER is chaotic, cramped, dirty, and unorganized in the processing of patients. Nurses (understaffed) and doctors are so busy, spend little time with the patient, and take far too long to provide treatment. Choose wisely where you go to get ER treatment in the Kansas City area.

Absolutely ridiculous, got to the Emergency Room at 8:30, checked in and the did vitals right then and there. The told me to wait in the waiting area which was fine until I was sitting there for almost 4 hours. I'm 10 weeks pregnant went in with concerns and not a single nurse approached me. Worst hospital i have ever been too. I highly don't recommend this hospital.

By the time anyone had checked in on me, I could have walked to Texas and back. Very long wait. Come to this Emergency room only if you don’t have an emergency.

Waited over 4 hours and haven't been seen by anyone. The wait time is terrible. When I ask a nurse to see how long, no one knows anything.

My husband had third degree burns covering much of the lower half of his body. We checked in to the ER and waited patiently (him in severe pain) 1.5 hours before speaking to a nurse who said to expect a 3 hour wait time. We left and went to Research where we were seen immediately.
