Love the Dr's at VCA Welborn. They have always treated me and my pets very well. I can tell that they are veterinarians because they truly love animals

We recently moved to the Kansas City area during the peak of COVID and VCA Welborn was the only one that would accept new patients and see my dog after he had an allergic reaction. They are always SO quick to schedule an emergency appointment for a sick pet and always quick to find a solution for your concerns. Before moving I always had the worst experiences with vets and had started to think it was me, but the staff has made it very clear I had been going to the wrong veterinarians. Dr. Beesley does an incredible job with my nervous and drama-prone chihuahua and this will be the first vet office I feel comfortable with actually leaving my pet for spay/neuter and feeling confident in their care. I have two cats and two dogs and none of them seem at all bothered by going to the vet anymore. I also appreciate that they don't try to tack on extra charges or vaccines when they aren't needed. They are very conscious of getting extra charges approved with you first and I think their prices are extremely reasonable for the level of service. I'm so happy to have found such a stellar vet near my new home. (Shout out to the office staff too, they are so helpful and don't treat me like an inconvenience when calling to ask questions or schedule an appointment. Good customer service is not always easy to find nowadays.) Happy pets happy life!

I took my little old lady to VCA Welborn simply because they had the soonest appt. We have a regular vet. I thought it would be a, get the exam, get the blood work and then transfer back to my original vet. But that changed when we got to meet and work with Dr. Schneider. She was very kind, honest and professional. Dr. Schneider explained things clearly, was so patient and empathetic. I asked her honest opinion as if she were in my situation and I feel she was very honest. She easily could of recommended a few expensive diagnostics but instead, she gave me her honest opinion and shared a personal experience with me. I called later to ask them to email me my records in case I needed them in an emergency situation and they were sent within an hour. Front desk was always nice and professional over the phone. In regards to covid precautions, they do have you wait in the car while they examine your pet inside. With a high risk partner, I appreciate those measures. I didn’t feel as though I was missing out on anything not being in the exam room. I felt like everything was still clearly explained to me. I would recommend Dr. Schneider to anyone that wants a kind, caring vet.

It’s ok. Be prepared to wait. I have never had an appointment here start on time. Today for my 10AM we finally went back at 10:28AM. We got there early thinking they would get us in on time. I should have known better. I have never had them start an appointment on time. BUT the doctors do seem to care about the animals and the prices are good. To get my dog updated on all her shots it was over 100 but that’s pretty good compared to what you would pay in Overland Park. We keep going back because the prices are right. The location can use a lot of updating but for the right price it’s worth it.
