Kasa De Franko Spanish School is an excellent choice for conversational, professional Spanish lessons – I highly recommend their method for anyone looking to improve their Spanish in an effective, meaningful way. My instructor, Franko, is exceptional and is able to adeptly balance the more technical lesson components with an approach that focuses on practical conversation. The lessons are easily done through Zoom video. Franko is also extremely flexible with my work schedule. KDF’s team is quick to communicate by email and always understanding and flexible with rescheduling when I need it. I strongly recommend the Spanish lessons at Kasa De Franko. The best place to learn Spanish in San Jose, CA.

My husband and I have been taking online lessons at Kasa De Franko for the past 8 months. Franko is simply fabulous and “funtastic”. He tailors every class to your particular needs, focusing mostly on conversational Spanish. His lessons are not only effective and informative but also extremely fun. Having made a lot of unsuccessful attempts over the past years trying to learn Spanish in more structured, traditional and boring settings, we have found that we learn better in a more conversational setting by speaking the language and putting less emphasis on grammar and boring repetition. We learn by playing with words and sentences used in context the way a kid would learn his/her native tongue. Franko’s lessons are very practical and related to students’ lives. By the end of the first lesson, we were able to ask and respond to each other basic questions while introducing ourselves to someone for the first time. During the first day, we were happy that we could say our names in Spanish, where we are from, what we do for work, where we live, how many languages we speak, and many other useful phrases when getting to know a person for the first time. We had been extremely fortunate to find Franko! We are finally making a lot of progress in a very short time. Franko is more than a wonderful person: He is a very professional and a very effective teacher. At Kasa de Franko, you will learn to speak Spanish for sure and as el profesor Franko says: “Think in Spanish! Don’t just Speak Spanish!

I and my husband have been taking semi-private classes for almost a year and we really enjoy the lessons! Prof. Franko keeps a good balance between conversation and grammar during the class and homework and review of the previous lesson help us to improve our Spanish. Also, his class covers culture and history of Latin America and I really enjoy it. I recommend semi-private lessons if you have family or friend to take the class with. You can reschedule or skip the lesson as needed and you will have a lot of chance to speak Spanish during the class!

I am completing 10 hours of private online sessions with Franko next week and am extremely pleased with the quality of the lessons. Franko is an experienced teacher who has rapidly adapted to my level of language acquisition. He has been quick to spot trouble areas in my pronunciation and work with me to correct them. While the provided instructional materials are helpful, they are not overly constraining. So if I want to push harder on past tense, for example, or particular verbs or phrases, he has been happy to accommodate with additional helpful notes and exercises. I'm looking forward to signing up for another 10!

I've been taking lessons at Kasa De Franko for over a year now and I could not recommend KDF enough! All KDF staff is very patient, supportive and excellent at explaining the Spanish language and its concepts. El profesor Franko is not only an incredible Spanish Teacher but a wonderful person! Even better than that, the KDF team is the best and they are always willing to help. Each lesson is personalized. They will always accommodate your preferred learning style to each session--either private or group lesson. Their Small Group Lessons never exceed eight students, which allows everyone to participate in class. All their instructors and tutors are very kind and compassionate, encouraging conversation and questions. Franko is a great teacher, he tailors his lessons, creates content for you and catches the small details that most teachers wouldn't point out. Another thing I love from KDF is that you have the chance to learn not only the Spanish language but also the Spanish culture from different regions of Latioamerica, like Peru or Venezuela. I strongly recommend learning Spanish at Kasa De Franko! I love their Chat With a Native Program. This is one the newest additions to Kasa De Franko programs in order to reach out to their community. This program offers private lessons with tutors from different Latino American countries--especially Venezuela. Yes, part of the KDF team is located overseas. That's why they can offer us very affordable prices for private sessions (around 5 to 10 /hr.). You can improve your Spanish skills by helping Venezuelan refugees living in different Spanish speaking countries.
