Very friendly and patient. I took forever making up my mind, but they never rushed me and answered all my questions. They do very nice work too. They do offer customizations as well.
Love this shop, Incredible craftsmen. Live in California and just called them to order more of the most comfortable T shirts ever made which was an easy transaction. Custom designs on there T shirts are incredible. I visit the Big Island twice a year and will never miss my visits to this shop with a Kona Joe Iced coffee in hand. Great owner with some of the nicest boys Ive ever met helping him run the place. Thanks guys, I appreciate all you do!!!!!
It was such a pleasure to meet Ben and his two sons -they were welcoming and so nice to all of us. they took time to show their work, share their ideas and the history behind the carvings and images. Visiting their store (more than once) was one of the highlights of our trip, we each came away with a beautiful hand-made souvenir and nice memory. Thanks again Ben.

Ben is the best carver and Polynesian designer and artist. My family all have bone necklaces and shirts made by Makau Nui artist. We are so happy with the little piece of the islands. We want more stuff from Beni Muti, hope he keeps creating new items. My Father said he has a friend for life; on the Big Island.
My husband ordered a shark carving from Mr. Muti. He ordered it made of bone, but the artist could not make it to his (the artist's) satisfaction. He called my husband and they worked out an arrangement for him to get one of his whale tooth carvings. It is absolutely his favorite thing. We are not a big jewelry family, but my husband wears his shark every chance he gets. I also purchased a small octopus that I love. Mr Muti and his family's art is superb. Definitely check out his shop if you are there.
