The best place to ice skate in Utah! The track is big enough to hold multiple groups without feeling like sardines on a traditional rink. Hockey and curling are also available, and fun to watch.

Public skating open in 2021 and is 6 price 4 rental during weekdays. Very popular with tons of families and their kids coming there. The place a also has a snack bar to purchase food. Not very cold at the ring.
We come ice skating with extended family and love it! Usually you can get right in, but this pandemic may cause a little wait time in line these days. The skates are great! The hockey skates are nice and most of us get those. However, if you have skinny ankles or feet, you may prefer normal ice skates with a toe pick. Wear thin socks or ones you'd wear for skiing and wear layers. You may start off cold, but a few times around and you'll be shedding layers. We wish there were less pot holes, but for the most part young and old have an enjoyable time. The inside lanes are for beginners which leaves the outside for those more skilled and prone to faster skating. We've seen strollers and such on the ice too. There's a small food spot with basics like hot dogs, nachos, small treats and drinks. If you're lucky, you may even get to see speedskating training sessions or a hockey game. The Utah Olympic Oval is a great place to bring your friends and family!
Great date night idea! The rentals and admission fees are cheap and you can pace yourself and skate as much or as little as you want! Staff are friendly and respectful. The environment was clean and easy to navigate with signs and arrows. All around good time!
Super cool place, a lot of fun for 10 that includes skate rental, families and young guys share the oval... Highly recommended if you visit Salt Lake City
