We had a great ASA 101 lesson with South Coast Sailing! Easy to schedule and got us right in. Craig was our instructor and he was very knowledgeable, high energy, very positive, and made learning to sail a lot of fun. We are going back in 2 weeks for our skipper class with a couple we met at our first training and can't wait to get ASA 103 & 104 scheduled! Highly recommend!

My husband Allen and I took the ASA101 first weekend and then ASA 103 we truly learned a lot in the four days of sailing- I am a novice, my husband was a sailor 35 years ago, both of us benefited from SCS , the classes were organized and professional captains instructed us. The class broke down to a few on each boat our first boat had 5 students on the boat- I’m sure Captain Jim was glad to see we did well, each of us took turns racking, jibing, MOB, and so much more. I highly recommend this school if you want to learn how to sail from ground zero ( my case) , or freshen up those old skills ( hubby did) - it was a fun filled 2- weekend classes . I also suggest - Read your book and understand lingo so you won’t struggle- if I hadn’t read my book I would have been so lost- please read every page ! You’ll be glad you did! Great set up for learning to sail. Captain Christopher was very knowledgeable, friendly and made the whole experience memorable. I'll be heading back for the advanced classes and am looking forward to seeing them again real soon!
ASA 101 basic keelboat training. Instructors were great, class room environment was professional, certification was challenging and worth it. Thank you South Coast Sailing.
Capt Lucy and SCSA are fantastic. Top notch instructors and fleet. Can’t say enough about this outfit. Great location and access to the bay. If you’re looking to sail Galveston Bay this is your team.
