Awesome hike, took us 3,5 hours to do the loop with a stop at the top. There’s a water spring on the way where we Drank the most delicious water. Highly recommend!!

This is a great hike. The parking isn't great when the weather is nice and lots of people show up. I'd say half the people were wearing masks. Personally, we did not wear masks. We are outside and more than 6 feet from people except for the few seconds where you pass someone. If you do the loop, it's about a 7.5 mile hike. Some spots are pretty rocky. You will need a good 4-5 hours to get out to pinnacle, spend some time there and hike back at a reasonable place. Be sure to ask someone how to climb down to the cave on the face of pinnacle outlook.
What a view! Perfect day hike alone, with a friend, or with your canine companion! The trail itself got crowded but if you arrive early enough* you can have the pinnacle all to yourself. *arrived at the trailhead at 9, got to the Pinnacle at around 11 and we were alone for fifteen or so minutes before people started showing up. I would imagine it’s more crowded in the summer, but even less crowded in late January or through February.
11/05/2020: We hiked all the way from the AT Trailhead Parking to the Pulpit Rock and then another 2-miles to this overlook. Views are more a little bit different from the Pulpit Rock, as you will see more closer views of the Lehigh Valley. If coming one week to 10 days earlier, the fall colors would look much nicer!
Beautiful trail. Pinnacle overlook via the AT parking at Reservoir Road. Rock scrambles and elevation gain, if you go towards Pulpit Rock then continue to the top to the Pinnacle, then head back down via Furnace Creek trail, makes it an easier trek down. about 9miles.
