I had an amazing lactation consult with Andrea Henderson after my supply fell two weeks before preparing to go back to work. I was stressed and anxious, she calmly and confidently assessed my situation and diagnosed my son with tongue tie. He had actually had it clipped at 1 week old but at 3 months old it had partially reattached so she recommended we see the physician who treated it. We did so and she was spot on! She sold me supplements that immediately increased my supply and recommended an approachable pumping schedule. She also stressed getting enough calories and nutrition, which were definitely an issue for me. I am so thankful to her, she has taken 10lbs of stress off my shoulders.

Thank you Northshore Midwives for assisting in our amazing pregnancy and birth experience last year! At our first visit, Andrea spent a full hour answering our questions about pregnancy, birth, and the safety of out of hospital birth. At each visit we were educated on risks and benefits of tests/procedures and encouraged to decide for ourselves what was best for our family. Andrea frequently cited recent research in response to our questions. At 14 weeks, Felicia supported us by phone through the night during what we feared was a miscarriage and thankfully was not. Andrea, Felicia, and Charlee took the time to get to know us each visit and it was very comfortable. Come birth time, they calmly and easily accommodated a very last minute change in birth location from birth center to our home. They arrived within minutes of our first call; calm, professional, and knowledgeable at 4:45am! They supported all of our postpartum wishes and early breastfeeding. Charlee gave us a “tour of the placenta” and encapsulated it for me by the next day. They even cleaned our bathroom and started laundry! The next day in home postpartum visit in bed was so nice AND they brought us a gift including fresh baked bread! We were given the option for as many lactation visits as we needed to support breastfeeding. Andrea also took the extra time several months later to help with my insurance coverage. Thank you Northshore Midwives for a wonderful experience!

I was very disappointed in the lactation consultation by Andrea Henderson at this facility. As a first time anxious mother that had a traumatic birth experience she had zero empathy to our situation. She never checked my child’s latch - just stated it looked “fine”. It was not fine and never was as we visited a different lactation specialist that pointed out a tongue, lip and cheek tie. She pushed supplements on me which made my supply tank. Save your 250 and go elsewhere. She also bills insurance companies incorrectly and has outsourced this so it’s impossible to get a direct answer on what is going on with your claim.

I had the midwives of Northshore Midwives at my home, water birth. I had an amazing experience which I am deeply thankful for! Andrea and Felicia are very knowledgeable and experienced. As a first time mom I had many questions during my appointments leading up to the birth. They always had answers and were quick to help any way they could. I love how they lean towards doing everything as natural as possible since I feel the exact same way. The day of my birth the midwives showed up ready to go. My baby girl arrived very quick with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. I am beyond thankful I had the midwives there because they were quick to jump in and do everything in their power to make sure my little one was breathing and with us. It was an unforgettable experience I cherish with my heart. The day after I gave birth Felicia and Charlee (student midwife who is also amazing) came over my house with a gift and pastries. I felt so loved and cared for! The postpartum appointments were all very helpful and I could tell they truly cared about my well being. I will definitely be contacting them again for my next baby! I highly recommend them. I am so glad I found them. They are amazing!
