Last month I went in to purchase ski leases for my kids in preparation for our ski vacation right after Christmas. I was told that they would be ready by Christmas. After not hearing anything for two weeks, I was contacted via email to confirm my kid's boot sizes which I did and also asked for confirmation that they would be ready before Christmas...no response. I called a few days later, the week before Christmas, and was told that the leases would actually not be ready until mid January. So disappointing that this big part of my kid's Christmas was ruined and that the customer service was totally nonexistent. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told he wasn't available and would call me the next day, which of course did not happen. I called again and was basically told by him there was nothing they could do. Obviously I asked for a refund. Horrible customer service from the employees I eventually got in touch with after repeated attempts and shocking that their false assurances resulted in ruining our Christmas plans. I won't be dealing with this business ever again, and I would caution others to consider finding other resources for their outdoor adventure needs. There are definitely better options out there! Customer service skills need improvement. My experience with Gorham bike and ski was less then desirable. Young kid who really didn't seem to must knowledge beyond the basics which I could do myself. Older manager was rude on the phone. He honestly didn't seem to be interested in helping. Then comes the next question do any of them know what they are doing. It was over all a bad experience. I felt like I bothered them with my questions. Anyway I learned my lesson. Kennebunkport bike and fly is a much better business. I was made to feel welcomed there and the technician was very informative. Live and learn
Being that this was going to be my first bike purchase in about 2 decades, I was nervous. Turns out I nothing to worry about! First, Anna at the Kennebunk location is superb. I got to the shop at about 5:30, so I was worried about interfering with closing / being rushed. But she was focused on me, took the time I needed, answered all my questions (and I had plenty!) with clarity, anticipated my next question, and I was the most important person in her world during my visit to the Kennebunk store. Second, Cam delivered the bike to my door, and he accommodated my schedule, answered more questions, and even took a great pic of me with the bike for fun! This is a superb business!
