Yes, it's a Texas chain and this is a lonely outpost, but the loving care to the art of barbecue demonstrated by the owner/operator is apparent with each bite. I had been to locations in other states, and had not been impressed, and it took a Groupon coupon to get me in here. But I'll be back because the flavors here are on-par with local joints. I had a two-meat platter, and selected pulled pork and sliced brisket. Both were tender, smokey and delicious. A side of jalapeno beans was OK, but easily made better by adding some house barbecue sauce. My second side was fresh-fried okra, which came in a generous helping. Yes, there are many good local barbecue joints in the greater Kennesaw and Marietta area. This Dickey's can compare to any of them in quality and price.
The pulled pork is so tender and taste AMAZING!!! LOVE THE FRIED OKRA TOO
I love dickies its amazing barbecue however this location had interesting workers. I asked for mashed potato casserole however they gave me potato salad and my pulled pork sandwich wasn’t really “pulled” it was a solid chunk of pork. The workers were really the only issue I will go back to give them a second chance but just fair warning for this location. The workers seem inexperienced.
Best BBQ sandwich I have had in a long time, okra and waffle fries were just as good.
