I brought in a moderately-valued watch for diagnosis and the extremely knowledgeable repair man calmly discussed my options. I ended up not doing the repair because it was more than the value of the watch, but I really appreciated his honesty and I would happily return for any future service!

I have wanting to buy a nice hand wound clock with a nice chime for a long time. I used to love listening to the one that my Grandmother had. I have been checking the internet and found this clock shop near me. I stopped by looked into the window and decided to go inside. There were two employees. One doing repairs and the other sitting behind the counter. I walked up to her and tried to explain my clock dream. Instead of helping me she sat in her chair and very unhelpfully ask me if I had tried eBay. Before I got angry, I asked about one of the clocks in the window. She told me that it didn't work and it was for display only (It clearly had a price tag on it). So, I said Thanks and walked out.
I had to get a battery replacement. It took less than 15 minutes and costed about 15. I had to sign in and it seemed like a family-run establishment. They also had a nice assortment of coo-coo clocks. They also had a showroom off to the side that looked like it was on a lower level but I didn't explore it. I could go more into the esthetics of the place but there's no need... it's a clock shop.
Disappointed. It was a Sunday and my son's wedding day. I wanted to get a new battery in my watch and arrived at the store when it was supposed to open. No one was there. I tried calling and no answer. Ended up going to a great place inside Westfield Wheaton Shopping Center.
The repair guy was patient and very very knowledgeable.
Did a fantastic job replacing the case and bezel on my automatic submariner. I regret having it serviced elsewhere prior to this, I believe this shop would have done more thorough job. Courteous, professional service at an excellent price point. Well Done!!
I've been to this place many times for repairing a mantle clock and for repairing an antique wrist watch. They're probably the best in the DC Metro area. There used to be another good place in Wheaton. Concord watch repair but they have been closed for decades. I would only recommend taking quality items to the Kensington clock store. Not cheap but they always do quality work. In my opinion, that's the best way to go. The immediate area in Kensington also has a lot of charm.
Very helpful as soon as you walk in. Polite as well.
