Great union, great group of brothers and sisters here

I have been in local 46 for 43 and it's been a great ride. There are ups and downs being a Electrican and the union is a big help to help you through the hills and valleys. The piece of mind of having great medical,dental and retirement makes raising a family ( 6 dependents in my case) less of a burden. The continuing education for little or no cost is great and keeps us on top of changes in the trade. I am retired now and make enough income we can enjoy the free time and not worry. IBEW has had my back through sick and poor,bad employers,L and I problems and the other things life and work throw at you. If you want to sit in a chair with no challenges the rest of your life this job is not for you.
This is a great place. I have worked both non-union and union... This place has saved me and made a huge difference in my life for the better. I will never go back to working non-union again. The IBEW hall regularly has events and activities. They are very involved in the community. Members are encouraged to attend meetings to stay informed of what happens in the union and to be able to make decisions and vote
This facility is brand new with class rooms and office space with a bank attached to where you will get an account for your vacation and union dues. I have been a member for 3 years and my family of 6 has been well taken care of.
The people are worst, they said if your a Vet you should apply so I did and after 3yrs later never heard from them...thanks a lot...
