Never thought I would be leaving a review about a DMV, little own a 5 star one, but here we are. I had an appointment at 2:10, and got there around 1:40, because I'm an early bird. I got there, checked in (appointment only is a good call for them), walked up, said what I needed to the young lady, Tammy. We talked about the sanitizer they used, had a good laugh, and I got my stuff all before 2:10. Highly recommend this over the one on Coliseum boulevard, even if it is out of your way, this is a good one to try! Plus, there's a tag office in the same lot!

Title and plates and generally pretty quick, this is my 3rd time here. Tags, title, and notary are the only things worked at this location. I say all of this because I moved here after dealing with only NY and VA DMV offices where all services can be paid by card, check, or cash and all services are in one room. This seems to help make certain things quicker. I can be in and out, with new plates in hand, in less than 30 minutes. Sounds like a win to me. The younger man who seems to work mostly titles is always very kind and helpful, patient with everyone, and willing to answer questions. If you’re looking to get your license, you’ll have to walk over to suite A to get that. It’s in the same strip mall building and parking lot but around the side. (I was crazy lost when I went to get my license.) You must pay 5 cash for notary service this is required with titling a new-to-you vehicle or out of state transfer. Also, transferring a title from out of state will be charged 3% of the car’s current value. Oh yeah, there’s a highway use fee and electric car fee too. My other vehicles didn’t have this, but I guess a hybrid has an electric car fee. For reference, today, I walked in at 9:05ish, waited in line, registered my car, signed for my plate, and walked out at 9:29. It partially took that long because we were talking. Oh yeah, when you sign, if you have a “doctor’s” signature, forget it. They will have you redo it to make it somewhat legible. So, brush up on your skills.
Persons behind counter are supposed to help with the process of obtaining a North Carolina license. But these individuals are very rude and do not educate you on where to retrieve information. Example, a liability insurance, even if you don't own or drive a car at the time of getting DL. Amongst other things. Not all NC are rude like that.
I came early in the morning to ask a couple of questions and the lady at the front door acted like she couldn’t even talk if I didn’t have a appointment. My experience would have been a lot better if she didn’t have a attitude and was focused on me instead of the people behind me
Great people and a very covid-19 safe place
