VERY poor customer service. He listed out the amount of work he was going to do on the boots. Total came to 60. Up there but not astronomical. At my pick-up he decided to polish them up very quickly, something he had said he was going to do when I dropped them off but was not a request neither at pick up or drop off. When handing them to me I got a 'where's my tip?' I thought it was a joke. He wasn't joking. So I tipped him and vowed never to come back. The workmanship is poor. There are obvious smears from the black adhesive he used to attach a new sole and smears on the mental plating of the heel. He's not the worst but I won't be back and wouldn't recommend.

I am very picky about my shoes and could not be happier with the service at Lamoda. I bring in about one pair a week and have had everything done from putting rubber soles on brand new designer pumps to having my favorite old pair of Frye cowboy boots conditioned and treated and the leather never looked better. He even fixed a giant hole that I ripped in a pair of Ugg boots and you'd never know it had been there. He did once add on 5 for polishing that I hadn't asked for but he was right - they needed it! And he always accommodates me when I need the shoes back in a rush. The prices are commensurate with the quality of work.
One stop shop.. A New York Original.. Got a shoe shine while I replaced a battery in my watch and picked up my dry cleaning within 15 min.!!
