I have a working charter boat in Key West. It is how I make my living. Dan at Prop Doc has worked on my boat numerous times. last year he installed 4 new cutlass bearings. When I hauled out 11 months later, they were all seperating. The rubber was not bonded to the bronze. Not wear and tear, but defective Cutlass bearings. He didn't make them, but he sold them to me. He replaced them all free of charge without hesitation. This year, I bought a new propellar shaft and coupling through him. Turns out the coupling was machined wrong at the manufacturer. Again Dan did not make the parts, but he sold them to me. He not only got me a new coupling overnight, but he reimbursed me for the extra time I spent in the boat yard. Hopefully both the maker of the coupling and the cutlasses will reimburse him, but he did not wait to find out. He stood behind his work and his word. That is the kind of people I want to do business with.

Down in Key West for a few days with our "minuscule" 12" boat, we were looking for a "small" propeller (lost on our first day...) that nobody had since it was too small...the wonderful ladies at Garisson Bight Marina advised us to see Dan aka the "Prop Doc". When I arrived he just got his car stolen the night before still talking to the police and welcomed me like nothing happened with great kindness and will to help me get back in the water asap...asked me what that propeller will do, and when I said it was meant to propel 5 people in a 12" he actually found the right prop, and ordered my the washers right away. Arrived the next day, and I'm writing you from my boat in the back country of Key West.....THANK YOU so much Dan for your help, we're missing people like you more and more, honest, knowledgeable, fair price, and very cool. On a short-week trip and had prop problems on day one. Prop Doc (Dan) got me back on the water, same day. I'm sure they can't do it in all circumstances, but they lent me a prop for the day while they re-hubbed mine. Had my prop back two days later, good as new. Also got some good advice on fuel economy.
