Responsiveness of the maintenance staff is bad. We called the maintenance pretty much on the first day with water leakage issue and he couldn’t figure out where the leakage was and started blaming us for water leakage and not using the sink properly. We had to figure out where it is leaking from and called him later for fixing it. We had to shower with cold water during the fall for 4 days as this was not fixed immediately which was pretty uncomfortable as one could imagine and this was not an emergency per their maintenance staff. We also had to live without AC in the summer as this was not fixed immediately as they thought it was also not an emergency. Pretty expensive for a small town like Battle Creek. I have lived before in big cities and this is far more expensive for the same size apartment. Last but not the least, they were unfair regarding our security deposit. There were scratches on the kitchen countertop which I agree we might have caused them and some prior chipped off parts from the counter top which were not caused by us. Any other apartment would count that as wear and tear or charge some money but they replaced the whole counter top and charged us 2180 which is huge amount. There was also a small dent in the door which was not caused by us and they replaced the whole door and charged us 600 dollars. They pretty much brought all the new stuff for their apartment with our hard earned money specially during this COVID times.They were also rude when we tried to ask regarding the charges and did not even consider settling the issue during these hard times. The lady whom we spoke was so defensive and rude. I am extremely unhappy with this apartment property management and they absolutely don’t have any professionalism in dealing with people. I am writing this review so that people can make informed decisions in the future.

Management claims that it is a “luxury” apartment. There is nothing luxurious about service that is not prompt or staff being rude, disrespectful and defensive.

Very nice location and safe neighborhood. Management has typical corporate attitude. They are rarely available by phone. If you walk-in to their office and are a person of color, they will treat you as if you are unwanted once you sign the lease. Before signing the lease, they are overtly “polite”. Lived there for about a year. Didn’t have major issues other than discriminatory attitudes by managing staff, loud neighbors (rare in high end apartments though). Laura and Christian are very cold and rude. But again, thats how these apartment complex managers are in my experience no matter which state you go. If I would have known the area or would have known someone who could guide, I wouldn’t have lived there for more than 6 months. Taking two stars off because of rude managers and lack of proper insulation in rooms. We had to buy Dyson room heaters in winter. It was brutal.
