Heed the reviews, would give 0 stars if possible. Note that while hidden away on their site, they will charge a 200.00 hold for any vehicle rented through them, even prepaid. Additionally, even after contacting the company to make an adjustment to use toll roads at our destination (before actually using them), they made no adjustment and charged a 15.00 administrative fee per toll. This is truly an \American\ company; dishonest, underhanded, lacking customer service, and makes NO attempts at reconciliation for sake of customer retention. **NOTE** Dollar Rent-a-Car is a child company under Hertz and does the EXACT SAME THING. Avoid at all cost. Turned a less then 200/3 day rental to 600 Car rental companies are generally scummy, but this one takes the cake. Fool me once as it goes. Recommend going with Avis or Budget for this area, less filth.

Worst experience ever I recommend check your receipt and Agreement. They change the agreement and charge u full price once u return the vehicle. I try calling them but they were not helpful. I try contacting customer thru 1800 # but was place on hold for hr.. I sent email haven’t received any replies from them. The only hope is I called my bank and filed a dispute charges.. this will be my last time I rent from hertz.

Show up to pick up my rental and after waiting in line I get told they haven’t taken the time to clean my rental yet so I’ll have to wait for the customer service agent to finish with everyone else in line and then wait for her to go clean my car and then I can get checked out. A reservation made way in advance, they had plenty of time to have my car ready for me and now I’ll be late to where I need to be because of the terrible customer service. If you have all day to wait then feel free to use these people but if you want your car ready when you set your pick up time for then pick somewhere with better punctuality.

Unfortunately, the worst customer service at a Hertz location I’ve ever encountered. Their phone is disconnected, and the female at the desk could care less when I informed her. They were not busy, but our presence seemed to bother and irritate them. Enterprise was less expensive, friendly, and I recommend reserving through them instead.

Last week, I booked with a Hertz representative over the phone through AAA. I was given a confirmation email for an exact vehicle type, an exact rate, and an exact time to go and retrieve my rental vehicle. Upon checking in with Hertz, I was informed that they did not have me in their system. I had to provide my own email proving I had in fact booked a rental car. I was soon informed that same day rentals were not possible since Hertz requires 24hrs notice to prepare your rental. The Hertz associate did not state that over the phone at any time in the booking process. I was further informed that the vehicle I had booked had been issued to another customer and no other cars of any class were available at that time. Regardless of my confirmation details and email, which I provided to Hertz staff, I had no vehicle at this point and was in effect stuck at that location (having been dropped off by a friend who then left). Out of desperation and in need of some means of travel, I asked if they had any vehicles available. It was at this point the Hertz staff informed me that I could rent a truck, the only class available. I was quoted nearly 350 for a three day rental. For reference, my initial quote was 84 for an economy class car for three days. I politely thanked the Hertz staff and went to Enterprise rental where I not only rented a truck class vehicle but did so on the spot, for 100 total for three days. I believe Hertz has serious communication issues in its booking process, between phone associates and the rental locations themselves. Hertz's ability to rent customers vehicles over the phone, that are not existent at the rental locations, is dishonest; it felt as though I had been \baited and switched\ so that Hertz could \up-sell\ me on a vehicle. I strongly do not recommend this rental company. I respectfully ask that Hertz look into these kind of practices as they are bad for business.
