Knoxville Opera is a world-class opera company that puts on extraordinary productions each year and continues to up the bar. Their community outreach and education programs serve to bring this wonderful art form to students around East Tennessee. During the pandemic they've continued to bring opera to the community with safe performances around the area and online. Some of my favorite, most memorable performances have been Mefistofele and the three-venue, traveling performance of Tosca!

I have lived in Knoxville all my life and Knoxville Opera has always been one of my favorite treats. They are top caliber and I always look forward to going to a performance. Additionally, what they add to the community, through pop up performances and Rossini makes Knoxville Opera a treasured community jewel.
A remarkable regional company producing opera at the highest level. The casting is diverse and presents internationally active singers to Knoxville audiences. As a committed member of the community, KO has an active educational program as well as community building events such as Knoxville Opera Goes to Church, featuring the Knoxville Opera Gospel Choir.
Each performance always exceeds my high expectations! We are so blessed to have an opera company of this caliber in our area! During this Pandemic, KO has found unique, safe, and creative ways to bring opera to all of us! Thank you, Knoxville Opera!

The Knoxville Opera is a top notch production company from top to bottom utilizing excellent local and national talent, beautiful costume and set design and a fantastic orchestra! Don’t miss out on this Knoxville treasure!
Knoxville is very fortunate to have such a fine regional opera company. Several years ago, I saw a performance of La boheme by Knoxville Opera, then sometime later saw it performed at The Met in New York. I would be hard pressed to rate one company over the other in quality of performance of this beloved opera. To be able to compare our regional opera company with one of international status like The Met speaks very well of Knoxville Opera. Maestro Salesky has done an outstanding job bringing the Knoxville Opera company to its current standing.
I have attended Knoxville Opera productions for years, and always find the performances mind blowing for a regional opera company. I've attended performances at The Met, La Scala, and Paris Opera among others and Knoxville is lucky to have this level of talent!
