The Buffalo is amazing. If you put in at Steele Creek and take out at Kyle's Landing you can stop halfway down the river and hike to the tallest water fall in Arkansas.

Kyle's Landing is a well-kept trailhead, campground, and launch point onto the Buffalo National River. There is substantial parking on a gravel lot, with wash and shower facilities. Park service also picks up trash in this location, so modest waste can be disposed and you don't have to completely pack out. The campground is located 2 miles from the main road, down a winding dirt and gravel road. The signs here will suggest that you only enter if you have a 4WD vehicle with significant clearance. The inclines will be very difficult if it has rained recently, but the 2 mile stretch can be passed with a 2 wheel sedan if the road conditions are dry and you drive carefully. My partner and I used this trailhead to hike the Indian Creek Trail and we were not disappointed. Indian Creek is stunning, and the "trail" is more of an adventure than a hike. Make sure you have waterproof hiking boots or hiking sandals if you try this, you'll be rock hopping back and forth across the river until you reach a majestic waterfall at the end.

Nice place for camping but the road to get there is not good. I recommend a 44 and no cars.

The Rangers help with parking on busy days. The access is great. Only thing they could fix is the road!
