Food came out hot and delicious in what felt like 30 seconds. It's cash only and I ended up having to wander inside to pay since I never got my check, but no big deal really; easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Love this place! And even now during Covid they are still great. I usually have French toast, but I had a good ole BLT today. Bacon was fresh and not overcooked, toast was just right. Outdoor seating area was nicely covered from the sun with adequate spacing btwn tables. They will always have a special place in my heart!
My fav breakfast place when I come to visit NYC! Haven't been there since 2017 as I was living abroad but the place did not change. I was glad to be able to support them by eating there while in NYC. Pancakes and french toasts are still amazing. Very nice people too! I'll come back anytime when I am around!
When I crave diner food, La Bonbonniere is the first place that comes to mind. A hot refillable coffee mug, and a plate of delicious French toast and bacon. The prices are awesome - keep in mind it’s cash only. They have outdoor seating which is perfect, and a huge menu of options.
Best customer service. Best French toast, ive been coming here since high school in the late 90s. The owners are still as sweet as they ever have been. A real ode to the diner vibes that NYC has always excelled at.
