Hip coffeeshop with light vegetarian fare, loud music, and lots of students. The menu is short, consisting of crêpes, soup, salad, granola, coffee, tea, beer, and cider. I love that it’s so local/organic/fair-trade focused. Haven’t been here for a show but hear the live music is great.

It's cute and a very relaxed atmosphere. Service is friendly. Chai latte weak on spice. Maple latte pretty yummy. Crepes are average. Berry crepe with heavily sweetened frozen berries was a bit of a let down. Mushrooms in the savory crepe we had were well cooked and tasty. Good place to do a bit of work and enjoy a casual breakfast

The Root Note has the best mochas I have ever had. \u003c3 they have dinner crepes that are so yummy. The last time I was there I had fresh from the oven granola with steamed milk and raw sugar. It was so good. It is a creative environment and often has live music. \u003c3 It's a wonderful place.

The best crepes ever. Super healthy options and dessert options too. This was a great stopping point on our way from Chicago to MN. Short walk to river with neat artwork along the way.

I like this place. Cozy and unpretentious. And great savory crepes; at least The Cremlin, for sure, is extremely tasty.

We stopped in here for breakfast while staying downtown. The service was pretty good, but the food was just ok. The crepes had kind of a plastic-y texture, but the fillings were good. My wife said the black coffee of the day was pretty bitter, but I did enjoy my hot cocoa. Overall, it was ok, but probably would not return for breakfast (although it looked like a fun place to see some live music!).

Fantastic hang! Whether having a meeting, listening to live music or just trying to get work done...this little cafe is a true local gem! And the food? Wonderful and just off-center enough to be unique! Oh...and the salads are made with clearly fresh ingredients. I love how intimate this place is and still tell my guests not to miss this gem! Thanks for being my office away from home!

I love the casual and rooty feel of the coffee crepe cave. It has all the essentials. Drinks, foodies, live music, chili, a creative work space and more! Do not expect fast service. Good things take time!
