I worked for Acacia and quit over a year ago but I have consistently still been bothered by one thing. At the time that I left they had brought a woman in to make sure that we were doing more and more data taking, I was told to mark every single thing down at the time that it happened that I had to do to deal with the boy that I worked with. He was somebody that I was always dealing with, so this meant that I had to mark down and explain on paper every action that I did and every action that he did as it occurred. This boy was very bright and very aware of what was going on, he is a person, not only did this data taking keep me from being able to deal with him like a human being but it also made him feel like he was always being criticized, how can this be helpful? Bureaucracy should not get in the way of people being treated with dignity and actually being cared for. I found it to be egregious. Previous to this woman being brought in for this purpose, we would try to do this more discreetly and she wanted nothing to do with that, we needed to do it right in front of the kid exactly as the behavior occurred . Just had to do it like that. Bureaucracy gets in the way of humanity.

My nephew attended Acacia for 3 years and this school was absolutely amazing!! He has grown and made a lot of progress. I will recommend this school to everyone I know :-). If you are a parent and your child is struggling in a traditional public school, Acacia creates an environment in which they will be understood, accepted and strive. This school is ok but the Admin name Kasey she has a very bad attitude and the fact that I witness on several occasion her talking to employees with no respect or very unprofessional made me really want to write this yet I hope reviews are looked at because she can care less about staff or student. She needs to control it and change it cause one of them paras going to get her she keep disrespecting them
