Using scare techniques to lure consumers off other instructors and fellow surfers is not cool and bad karma. Schools been in San Diego as long as I remember and always a decent place to take our of town guests for a nice wholesome day of surf and sands. This will stop for while as we look to other schools with more in touch and private caring instructors. There are many other surfers who love to give you simple lessons and even let you borrow their boards (sacrilegious?) to be an example of San Diego’s great mellow life. However the owners recent actions and demeanor are more in-tune to money grubbing folks up in Los Angeles then America’s finest. It’s people like her that are changing not only this great city, but the world for worse. Shame.

Surf lessons were excellent, instruction was constructive! With the surf lessons, you receive 20% the surf diva store. We took advantage as they have some great clothes! When the security tags were accidentally left on, I called the store to inquire about what to do, as the store was far from my house. The owner of the store personally called me and arranged a way for them to be removed. Great service. Would recommend the surf lessons!

My girls had a surf lesson with Fonzie and they LOVED it! He was great at explaining what needed to be done to help correct their form and ensured they got many good rides. Fonize cheered them on as encouragement and it helped build their surfing confidence. They can't wait to go again! Looking forward to trying their Surf Camps too. Everyone we encountered at Surf Diva from Steve who helped book the appt over the phone and answer all my questions to the staff at the shop, they were all courteous and very helpful. Highly recommend!!

We did private lessons for our two boys who are eight and 11 years old and both had never surfed before. Everyone was well organized and it was a great experience all around and my boys had a great time.

Great surfing lessons for very beginners. It’s actually warm enough in winter when you use a suite. They say that best time for surfing is in the morning

I took a 2 hour private lesson from Fonzie last weekend. He worked on improving my pop up and then taught me how and where to ideally catch the waves, how to follow the direction of the wave, and when to pop up. It was a lot of information to internalize in one lesson, but now that I have the information, I can work on it at my own speed. Excellent fun time.

Cute little shop with excellent surf instructors! The rental equipment is in great shape, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the cost for lessons is competitive with other places. Why I like Surf Divas is that you surf in a great spot that’s just a few minutes walk from the store. After lessons, I used my discount to buy much needed sandals in the store, then I had a snack at one of the many local restaurants. Thanks Davo for the great SUP surfing lesson!

I have tried for years to surf to pretty mediocre results. After not even trying the past two years, I just took a lesson with Carla at Surf Diva. Literally in 5 minutes she figured out what I was doing wrong. Then she gave me a little trick to popup better, if you don't have a lot of upper body strength. It was one of the best days ever & I can't wait to go surf. Thank you!
