I was 6 minutes late. The instructor refused to let me in the class and said they don’t give refunds but I can reschedule for a fee. Regardless of your circumstances or how well you plan sometimes things in life take longer than planned. Life happens. Sometimes things go wrong and sometimes it is unpredictable and sometimes people are 6 minutes late. You are teaching a class to teach people what to do when stuff does not go the way it is expected to go. That you lack all compassion and understanding and will happily take my money for being 6 minutes late is completely inexcusable. Update: I originally gave one star. I adjusted this because they did, in fact, give me a full refund and contrary to the response below the response I received by email was actually quite compassionate and understanding. I did, however, decide to use a different training center which was more flexible and friendly and I believe is a better fit for me. However, while I believe it should have never been an issue in the first place, I am grateful that AmeriMed CPR gave me a refund, and for their compassionate email response to my complaint.

I took the Wilderness First Aid course with Taylor and had an awesome experience! He's super knowledgeable, a great teacher and made the class super fun. I now feel so much more comfortable rock climbing and backpacking and look forward to taking more classes like this in the future to be more prepared to help myself or others in a worst case scenario. 10/10 would recommend!

I attended the wilderness first aid training in San Diego on university ave. It was awesome! Taylor is a great instructor and Christine is great, as well! I learned so much during the two-day course. The price is very reasonable, too. Thank you!

Training was great, very educational and also very engaging and creative with the music technique to help with the 30 compressions. The instructor did a great job! I feel confident for when i need to put CPR and first aid assistance into action while waiting for EMS to arrive!
