The whole team is really fun and into surfing but Devin is amazing! I had never been on a surf board and first wave out I popped out and rode a wave for 10 seconds. It was so exhilarating. My wife was able to pop out on her first wave as well and did even better. We had a wonderful and rewarding experience, learned a lot all thanks to Devin. The dude is worth every cent you put into your lesson. We originally booked only one lesson but less than an hour after we were done with our first semi-private lesson we decided to book another one the next morning. Devin takes away all the difficulties and variables and keep it simple for you. You just have to listen when he says "paddle" and "stand up". He does the rest for you. If you're a beginner I highly recommend booking with ISA and if you can request Devin. Aloha!

Super fun experience! Peter was an amazing coach and guided us to surfing success with a professional and encouraging attitude. And Kat's photos were fantastic! Highly, highly recommend this place. Plus the beach is beautiful, the waves cool to watch, with a ton of fabulous restaurant and activities nearby.

Staff have always been super friendly. Prices are great for snorkel gear for the family, we usually do a week. And their paddle boards and prices are pretty good. As I wrote this post I’m pretty sure we have been using these guys for close to 16 years. Highly recommend this place....

We booked a surf lesson for my husband and 3 kids. We did a group lesson for my husband and older children and a private for my younger son. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience. Peter and Andrew were fantastic in the group lesson and everyone was able to pick it up and had a blast. Christian worked with my youngest son one-on-one. Even though he is small, my son really wanted his own board and Christian made that happen for him. He was so patient at teaching him, and answered all the many questions my son had. He was nervous coming into this that he wouldn't be able to get up, but with Christian's help, he was amazing. As we walked away, my son remarked that he felt so good about himself after the lesson. Which is music to any parent's ear. Thanks for such a great experience!

Great Instruction for all ages. We booked two separate lessons. A semi private for adults and a private for kids. The kids are 7-15 and the instructors were super attentive, all the kids got up and learned a ton about the activity. In our adult lesson all the adults were given great Instruction and help throughout the lesson. The Instructors were attentive and personable. I would highly recommend going earlier in the morning, less windy, less crowded and the instructors are fresh. Book with Island Style Adventures.

Had an awesome time with the whole crew at ISA who were super knowledgeable and gracious during a semi-private lesson for me 9 yo son and me. The waves seemed legit and even though my son was nervous, they made the experience awesome. Family-feel, with everything you need to enjoy it.
