Its been almost a year since my husband and I were in Maui. Our last day we booked a surfing lesson with Maui Surf Clinics and it was by far the best way to end our trip and was my absolute favorite! Having never surfed before I was able to ride a wave on my first try because our instructor made sure we understood technique before we even got in the water. Even though its been almost a year I think about Maui and our surfing experience almost every day! Thank you so much for such an amazing way to end our trip! Looking forward to coming back some day!

So pleased with the intermediate level, multi-day option. We've got some experience surfing, and when looking for lessons while on Maui I was worried about finding a place that would really help us improve; I didn't want basic in the whitewater type instruction, and I was nervous about the choice that seemed to be between too-small waves on the west-facing shore, or dangerous surf on the north shore. Really glad I went with Maui Surf Clinics. Firstly, the location delivered; it was mentioned that for the spot they surf there at the breakwall, even when the forecast was for 1-2 feet, there'd often be waist to headhigh waves, and that's what we found during our stay. Secondly, they set us up with world-class instruction from a pro surfer(!!) who was able to give guidance in all aspects of our riding. Every person and interaction I had with Maui Surf Clinic with was kind, thoughtful, and professional. I'll absolutely be booking again next time I'm on island. Mahalo to you Kat, Kristin, and Logan, you're truly A!
Amazing private surf lesson with Jedi. This is a wonderful small old time Maui surf school with repeat clients both adults and kids! In my lesson Jedi helped me get out and ready for the waves so I would have all my energy. The surf lesson was totally supportive and fun. Caught a few long rides and loved every minute. Jedi had my daughter and son surfing like pros. This was such a great experience that words can't express. He was so awesome with both of my kids and really made it an great experience for them and for me. I highly recommend Maui Surf Clinics to everyone. I was very nervous about going far out given that I cannot float but they reassured me that even further out the water was still shallow enough and I would be ok. Billy was my instructor and was awesome. He gave me the encouragement to keep going and learn what was working and what I could do better. I got up three times and rode my wave which was the best. So happy I tried this and can’t wait to go back.
We just got back from a girl's trip to Maui. The #1 thing on our list was to surf. Maui Surf Clinics is the best around! We scheduled our surf lesson for the first morning of our trip. It was located right next door from where we stayed. Our instructor, Chad, was hands down the best instructor on the island. He is very mellow and had the patience to talk us through how to surf and prepared us for our adventure. ALL 5 of us in our group got up on the first wave. I was there celebrating my 40th birthday and I am not the most coordinated person out there so if I can do it, anybody can with the help of Chad. Maui Surf Clinics felt like a second home to us. We found ourselves popping in and hanging out throughout our week. They are so incredibly inviting and fun. Kat and Kristie were so friendly and informative. They spent time telling us all about the island and gave us options of other things to do. We ended up going back to rent boards and explore on our own. When we come back to Maui, which we will, we will definitely be using them again! This was the highlight of our trip! Thank you Maui Surf Clinics!!!!
Highly recommend this amazing team of people. Hubby & I had our first ever surf lesson here this week. Special thanks to Billy our surf coach & his cutie assistant Snowflake (Chihuahua). Billy made our lesson safe, informative & fun. I was able to stand by the end. He motivated me to keep trying. Kat was also very helpful at the front desk. We were provided for our lesson a surf shirt & water shoes...along with coral safe sunscreen & of course a surf board. When I wiped out the water was not deep..I was able to stand. You are also surfing with others so ur not alone..Water was beautiful and clear. Will definitely book when we return.
