Amazingly amazing experience with these guys. I am still pretty new in here, so I had no clue about good, trustworthy mechanics in the area. I picked ILWI TRUCK REPAIR based on my gut and some of the other reviews, and I was not disappointed. They didn't push me to get other stuff done. They quoted me appropriate prices for other services I asked about. Most of all: They didn't treat me like I'm an idiot (as a girl, this is super important to me). Pretty perfect.

***Call a tow truck and have them drop your vehicle/trailer etc off at a reputable shop that will open tomorrow and get a good nights sleep in a decent hotel. I promise it’ll save you money. Don’t use Ernies towing.*** It wasn’t good service or price but when that’s all that’s out there on a Sunday afternoon.... Blown out boat trailer hub. So.....the guy showed up after about 45min. No English, got on the phone with the boss, estimate 500. Looked at it. Left, came back 1hr later with a decent work rig. Took the hub and drum of trailer apart(15minutes), took the drum with him(still no English) 2 hours later boss called and said they can’t find the part. So now we are almost 4 hours in and now it needs to be towed to their shop and can’t be fixed till morning anyway. They sent a tow truck of their choice, not real friendly. Said it would be done by 8am the next morning. They didn’t start working on it till we showed up at 11am to pick it up. Also! When they towed the trailer/boat the mechanic never came back to put it back together so the tow truck driver just drug the trailer/boat onto his flatbed...... my mind blew multiple ways..... Charged us 1200 A hub kit at an auto store is about 50 A drum is about 100 Right tools, about an hour of labor... done Trailer worked just fine after they replaced the wheel hub and drum. But they wasted a lot of time “looking for parts” and who knows what else. These people are so honest. They do good work at fair prices. They are so friendly. The manager Mike is very polite and communicative.

The work was done very timely - my driver was only three miles from their facility. We were very happy to find that a repair company in this area of Illinois was this close to I-94 and could get out to our driver so quickly. HOWEVER, once we got the bill, we realized what kind of company we actually had gotten involved with. We do road service ourselves and would NEVER charge this much money to replace a red air line 3 miles away. Probably HALF this amount is suitable. We were charged 440 for 15 minutes of work. The part (the air line - at 50) was marked up on the high side, but that wasn't a problem. THREE HUNDRED AND NINETY DOLLARS for 15 minutes of labor is A HUGE PROBLEM. Everyone needs to make their money - but you can still make money by being an honest business that charges industry standard prices. We like to go back to companies that provide good service for reasonable pricing. I'll even pay higher prices for good service. I will NEVER tell anyone to utilize this company. We spoke with someone on the phone about the price and he said he would \talk to his guy and call us back.\ We gave him a chance to rectify this situation, but instead they chose to rob us. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. There's a reason this company has changed names before - maybe because they are thieves.
