SOR @ Lake Oswego has been just a fantastic program for our daughter. It has helped her with a passion for music as well really making for personality come out in a way that truly special. Jon and Kathy have developed an amazing program with a staff that cares and more importantly has the ability to teach. Adam the music director picks songs that are fun for the kids to learn but provides enough nostalgia, parents have have way to connect with their kids through the music I was unable to have with mine. Maya as my daughters vocal coach has a sweet but firm disposition that encourages my daughter to overcome her shyness when she sings. Chaz as her guitar coach has given her the tools to enjoy a lifelong skill but also seek out and discover to play songs on her own.

Incredible instructors and staff; personalized one-on-one lessons, and engaging programs...our son absolutely loves being involved with the School of Rock and has learned soooo much (he has become quite the musician in the process, and now wants to pursue a music degree once he graduates from high school!). Only regret is that we didn't find School of Rock sooner!
These folks are fantastic. Both of my daughters have been going here for about 9 months now and absolutely love it. They are very knowledgeable, fantastic with kids and amazing instructors. The entire place buzzes with energy from everyone just getting together and loving music. It is a blast to be a part of. Since the covid shutdown, the have shifted to an online model which is great. My kids miss playing with their band and we miss all the great people and shows but remote music has definitely been the bright spot during the social distancing for us all. If you think you might like to play an instrument or if your kids do, give these folks a shot. You will have a blast and learn a ton.
Friendly effective staff. The teachers are top notch, really engaging my kids with an intuitive way to learn music. I've been so impressed that I referred my father who was wanting to learn an instrument to keep his mind agile.
