THIEVES THAT PREY ON THE NEEDY!!! I went there with an issue in my hand. I did not have insurance. They told me my bill would be 236, did I need financial assistance? Nope, I’ll pay now and I did. That was the second time I used them without insurance. I paid 200 to see an orthopedist the first time. I had a job with benefits and my insurance kicked in 3 weeks after seeing them, which was January 1. Two weeks after that??? They sent me a new bill for 1,136 and told me I still owed them 900!!! I have fought every step of the way but in the mean time, I have to fight to correct my credit score that they RUINED because of their collection agency. They are the ONLY negative item on my credit report, well, too much credit debt but that ALL gets paid.I can afford to pay the 900 but I REFUSE to give into their con game! I CONTINUE TO FIGHT THEIR LARCENY AGAINST AVERAGE CITIZENS!!! IT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH THAT THEY CHARGE EXTREMELY INFLATED PRICES BUT THEY WANT TO ROB US TOO!!! You should be ashamed of yourselves SENTARA!!!

I was sent there by my primary care physician as I experienced shortness of breath, chills and chest tightness. The staff were amazing, friendly and attentive in making me feel better. Didn't wait at all and they were quick in getting tests done one after another to get answers. They made sure I was not alone for long and within a short time I left with answers and treatment. I have found my ER if I'm in need.

I have been going here for years for my emergency care and I’m always treated with excellent care! The staff is always nice, and courteous and I’ve never had to wait. Lab work, xrays everything is handled with speed and efficiency. This is the best place to go when you’re not feeling well!!!

We have been here twice in the last two months for a heart problem. Both times, care and attention was Excellent. All different staff on duty the second time, care equally excellent. He was well attended both times. This is a fully equipped ER that can handle anything the hospital ER can handle only quicker because it isn’t as busy. If you are going to an ER and are thinking it’s serious enough for the hospital, this is our first choice because we know we will get right in. If you have to be admitted, they will transport you over to the main hospital. Both times that’s what they did for my husband. He came in with a heart rate of 220 and they were all over it. They ran 2 lines, recognizing a blood clot danger and started heparin immediately. Once he was stabilized, after several hours, they transported him to Sentara to be admitted (actually they did all the admitting stuff before he left so there was no delay- they took him right to his room). When he had a problem again, that’s where we went again, and a completely different staff/doc took care of him in the same way. This time was the middle of the night. He presented differently the second time, but they knew what they were doing and also called his cardiologist to consult. Once he was stabilized, about 8:30 am, they transported him. I recommend this ER highly. It is fully equipped ER, not a minute clinic, and in our experience is very well staffed with competent and caring people. We are thankful to have a great emergency facility in the area.

the only people that seem like they give a damn about someone in pain or in medical attention is the doctor only!! The ladies at the front desk seemed inconvenienced by us asking any questions and god forbid we ask them how much longer do you think until my girlfriend is called back? they were quick to answer \I don't know...\ and did not follow up because it was clear that they didn't give two sh*** about us or what we were going trough at 2AM while at the ER. Anyways the doctor was great but the people that greet you in a place that is for helping people need to be fired.
