This is a larger parking lot for the Centennial Trail, but it can still get filled. I like it because it has good visibility from the main road, which means that there is a reduced chance of crime. Be careful, though. The entry drive has a huge pothole taking up pretty much the entire lane and dropping at least 6 inches. Most cars will be able to navigate it, but if it has been raining, it makes for a very daunting puddle. There are outhouses at this lot, along with handicapped parking. There is also a couple of benches where the lot meets the trail. If you go south, Lake Cassidy is a nice turn-around point. When heading north, there is not much to see until you get to Arlington. The trail in this area is very nice, as it does not travel along roads, so it is a quieter walk through the woods. For the last two months (August and September of 2020), there has been a cougar sighting warning up, with instructions on what to do if you encounter a cougar.

Beautiful trail nice and clean. Well taken care of with all kinds of little place to sit and look at the nature.

Wouldn't exactly call this a \hiking area\ but it's a nice place to park the car and walk or ride the Centennial Trail.

They finally regraded and gravelled the parking lot at this trailhead. So much better!

We enjoyed our visit here. And our first meeting with horses in the open. Wish there was easy lake access for a doggy dip...
