My home away from home! 2 years ago when I moved to South Florida, something called me to ecstatic dance and I searched for a local studio. I am so grateful I found JaiStar. It is a sacred space where community and kindred spirits gather and connect, dance in a safe and supportive environment and listen to high vibrating music at live Kirtan concerts hosted by Jaime and Star. Their voices are angelic and their hearts are warm and inviting. Finding Jaistar has been a deep blessing and has offered me much healing and connection. I love you both and am infinitely grateful for you mi familia!

Jaime and Star are true gems! Both are very talented musicians. The energy of the space is spectacular and everyone is greeted with enthusiasm and warmth. I'm so grateful to have discovered this exquisite 'home' to dance, sing and deeply connect with tribe.
A beautiful studio, with decent beginner level yoga, but the \estatic dancing\ was painfully loud, more reminiscent of a rock concert. When I asked if they could turn the volume down, I was told that I should wear earplugs, as that is \what everyone else does.\ (I had ear plugs, it was still unbearable.) Seriously, if you have to tell people to wear hearing protection, you probably have the sound cranked up too loud for your space. If you are expecting a live drummer or music that is engaging and at an appropriate volume for the space, this is sadly disappointing, just not the place. A very sweet, lovely studio, but not the safe space I had hoped for it could be so much more. If you are among the thousands of people who are HSP, have misophonia or other neurological, auditory processing disorders and can't tolerate over the top loudness, like me, keep looking.
I decided to go to Star for a spiritual healing. I expected nothing, but got everything. I received answers to long awaited questions and experienced a deep spiritual healing in my solar plexus which had been out of sorts for a long time. Afterwards, I thanked Star, but was worried that she might have burdened herself by taking on too much negative energy. But Star handled it all beautifully. She said that she was fine and for me not to worry. The healing was a success and the tension in my solar plexus has left. Jaistar Studios also holds monthly kirtans and meditations featuring Star's husband, Jaimie, who is a fantastic musician and singer. Their friend, Anya holds sound healings with the crystal bowls which makes the world seem like a rosier, more beautiful place. We all need beauty in our lives, especially at a time with so much ugliness. Jaistar is a beautiful place that you can treat yourself to when you feel you deserve the better things of life.
