Rick was an awesome guide and great with the kids. The airstrip is awesome. Bird sanctuary was a nice touch. Awesome views and nice to have a fireplace. Restaurant was good. Expect to spend but definitely worth it

The only thing missing was a fire pit outside our cabin and law enforcement for the loud music from across the river. The cabin itself (20) was very roomy even with a queen and a double bed. No carpet to trap dirt and allergens. There is a microwave, refrigerator with small freezer on top, small coffee.maker, small table with 2 chairs. Shower to accommodate tall people without having to squat and a hair dryer in case you forget yours. All the cabins have a view of the river and the air strip in front. The restaurant has seating so you can see the river and the decor is decorated with old tools, cameras, pictures, bicycles, boat motors, and watches. Lunch was so good! We had a trout family platter with the trout we caught that day. It included a trip to the salad bar, choice of one side, and 2 hush puppies per guest. The hush puppies and trout were very good and seasoned perfectly. The appetizers were cheese curds and spinach dip for us were a hit! Cheese curds were very spicy but delicious. The dip was cheese and creamy. I didn't really care for the chips as they were thick and hard. The sweet tea was also very refreshing and perfectly sweetened. 6 people with enough fish leftover for 3 more was 140 so not bad. For dinner we all chose different meals. The surf and turf came with a large lobster tail, 8 oz steak, green beans, salad, rolls, and choice of a side. I loved the lobster which was cooked perfect as it wasn't rubbery and had a very succulent taste. Steak was cooked to order and very tender and tasty. A few in the group steaks were not cooked to order however. As for price (52) dinner is what you would expect for fine dining. Definitely recommend taking a fishing guide (Frank) was the best! The river was up and colder than normal so much harder to catch fish. Frank however got us to some spots where we caught our limit of large trout and even caught and released some large brownies.

What a breathtaking place to be...we enjoyed every second of it from guiding trout fishing with Mr Bobby, what a humble human being we got to learn not just about fishing but his story and the Gastons story. If you decide to come and stay on their cabins relax, fish, eat at their beautiful restaurant, enjoy the peaceful and majestic views of our beautiful natural state!! Their customer service is awesome and friendly!! Ha!! Forgot to mention if you own a private airplane they have their own runway!! Pretty cool!! Thanks to the chef...he came and check on us...so if you catch the fish....they cook it for you!!

We had Ashley as a waitress. She was WONDERFUL. Our drinks never went empty and her sense of humor is impeccable! She really knew the menu and was able to help us pick out something outstanding. I had the rainbow trout with mushroom hollandaise, loaded mashed potatoes and salad with house dressing. They were excellent. The smoked trout poppers are wonderful too! We will definitely be back!

The place to get some of the best food with the best bar! The specials Chef Rick comes up with are unexplainably delicious. Yes there are management issues. As a former employee, I still back this restaurant. Power hungry and non confident managers will be the downfall. However the head guys, Chef Rick and Clint Gaston love people. That is all that matters
