I just love the YMCA. I know things are difficult n this is a learning experience for everyone but the Y just succeeds at customer service and they always go out of there way to help someone. I have had the best experience at Lakewood Y then any other Y in the area. I love them

Love this YMCA!! The staff are so friendly, and helpful. We love the gymnastics class our daughter (almost 2) takes here. Originally came just for my daughter to sign up to be able to take gymnastics and swimming classes, but we knew immediately that this place would be fun for the whole family. Happy that they have a room as well for kids to play in safely while parents work out in the same room next to the kids area. Or like the idea of being able to take my daughter to child watch and be watched while we get to work out. Definitely recommend this YMCA for the whole family!

5 stars just for being open. They have moved many machines out, blocked others, only 5 treadmills and elliptical machines in a room that held dozens. Well marked paths,, stand here dots. No showers, no sauna. Can't even change clothes. It feels good to get moving again, to stretch those muscles.

An outstanding place for the whole family to get some good exercise. Very kid friendly and the staff are so kind and wonderful. The pools are great, but they are so busy with classes so it's best to pick the right time if you want to swim. The free weights area is only open to children who are 15 years or older, but younger children can take a 1-hour orientation class to gain access to the weight machines and cardio equipment.
