We recently had to have our old galvanized drain pipe for the kitchen sink replaced. It was old and clogged. The service technician was very efficient and knowledgeable. Replumed the sink and a sump pump. Was done in a few hours and cleaned up very well. Couldn't be more pleased. Recommended.

My dad had a bad experience with Brubaker despite the stellar reviews. His furnace diagnoses it's own issues. The technician ignored the diagnosis and made his own. He then gave him a \straight forward\ price of 977.00. The tech left his home for over an hour to retrieve the replacement part (a gas valve). Upon his putting the new part in he discovered that his diagnosis was incorrect. The furnace still wouldn't run. Now he's stuck with a 2 parts that aren't defective (the one taken out and the one the tech just drove to get) and a furnace that won't work, IN January. Next the tech took the part out that the furnace originally said was the issue (pressure switches). And it was defective. Go figure. So now he's stuck with a huge bill, a still broken furnace and a confused tech. Finally the tech was able to patch it up so he'd have heat until the replacement part came. The furnace ran for 3 hours and stopped. This company allowed a disabled man on a very limited income to sit in a home without heat over a weekend in the coldest time of the winter. They claimed to be unable to get the replacement part until Monday. Their solution was to have him stay somewhere else over the weekend. I'd definitely think twice before committing to Brubaker. They treated us very unprofessionally, did not honor their \straight forward\ pricing. Until it was over he was given a TOTAL price from the tech, and a totally different price from the office. Those prices differed by over 200. Now it's May, and they STILL are expecting payment of 80 for a service call in Jan. he was told he wouldn't be charged for due to the confusion. They were here 4 times and the furnace still wasn't working properly. I found a place in Millersville. They fixed that huge, overpriced issue for 60!
We bought an LG refrigerator at Brubaker's almost 6 years ago. When I started having issues with it I figured they were the best place to call for service since I bought it from them and they have a service department. First service call they scheduled me in 10 days later and that day I received a call saying the technician was on his way. 10 minutes later the technician called and after I described the issue he told me to vacuum the condenser coils and he could save me the 80 minimum service call fee. This sounded great and I was pleased he saved me some money, but this did not fix the problem. I called back and scheduled another service visit. This time it was about a 5 day wait. Technician showed up and after doing some diagnosis informed me that the sealed system was bad and that he could not fix it because that would void the warranty. I told him it was already out of warranty so go ahead and fix it. He was hesitant and eventually said that LG does not want them messing with the sealed system so I would have to call them directly. So I basically paid the 80 service call to be told I had to call LG. I wouldn't even put all the blame on the tech. The people scheduling the service calls should tell you right up front that they can not fix certain problems with LG, and if they can't you will have to go through LG. If I had known this I would skipped them and called LG directly and saved 2 weeks of time and the 80 service fee.
I called needing an electrician to replace a thermostat for electric radiant heat. I specified that information. They sent me a HVAC guy. He was not an electrician and didn't have a clue. I spoke to his manager and the dispatch person and neither would help me fix the problem. I also found out that the don't have an electrician only kids right out of school who are being trained. They could have told me that when I called to make the appointment. I could have called another company. I ended up calling Lapp Electric and used their emergency service. I cost more but I got a qualified electrician. My suggestion don't call Brubaker. Years ago I used them for both plumbing and electric but stopped using them. I could remember exactly why but now I know. They are not competent.
We recently bought a house and did an entire renovation. Of all the contractors we worked with, Brubaker was the BEST. Katey was very easy to work with and even when I went rogue on our plan, she adjusted and got us taken care of. The install team was professional and treated our house with respect. They asked the appropriate questions while here to make sure everything was the way we wanted it...which is not very common these days. Everything is working well & looks great. Very pleased and glad we chose Brubaker! Thanks all!
