Beautiful area, don't get me wrong, but, to get here you must go on an unpaved dirt road. And there aren't any specific trails or maps, brochures or visitors center. Stick to the Ripley Preserve which at least has a trail.

The Joshua trees are in bloom. We saw a wild rabbit crossing the dirt road. Better if you have an SUV or off road vehicle because it can get dusty and rough. There are no building or structures there except for a lone house and lots of nature. Beautiful view of the poppy preserve from afar.
