I made an appointment with Sparrow the previous week to have the transmission on my 72 Duster removed and replace the torque converter. I had already been advised from other mechanics that this was the issue. I have made numerous repairs on this car myself and explained this to the owner Joe. I leave my car at His shop for three full days. The diagnostics to find cause of problem had been done over and over again. In the course of three days. the total extent of what I received is a spot weld on a tail pipe. In conversation mid week I explained to Joe again that I was not in any need of His checking of my work. I told Him that I needed the transmission removed and a new torque converter installed. Bottom line is I get a bill Friday AM of 325.00 for the man to tell me it needed a torque converter and one spot weld on a tail pipe. No shop I have ever had any work done has charged me this ridiculous amount for diagnostics that I didn't need in the first place. 100% waste of money. This Guy needs to be brought back to the real World. The most I have ever paid for diagnostics was 100.00 dollars at a Dealership. Do not use this shop. He will rip your head off and you get nothing but bull.
