We first went to Butchers when we needed to re-landscape our backyard after a large renovation. We were hoping to do the work ourselves after paying significantly for the house renovation but needed expert advise about what to plant. Enter Jim: he took a fantastic amount of time discussing our lighting, irrigation, and willingness for upkeep. He gave us a wealth of information not only about plant choices but suggestions for how best to reinstall our sprinkler system since we still need to do that after the reno. We were able to install all the plants ourselves per Jim’s great instruction and felt great about the job. 6 months later: our landscaping is even better than I had expected! The plants grew beautifully. We went back to get more expert advice on how to now re-landscape our front yard since we are so, so thrilled with the outcome of our backyard. Once again, Jim was there with wonderful suggestions for layering our flowerbeds and we begin installing the plants ourself this week.
