Just saw them at UDPAC as part of the Delco arts festival arts festival. They were great! Blundell's violin solos were exquisite. But he is does not have the alufeness of a soloist. He is part of the orchestra as well as the conductor. I especially liked how he explained some background about each piece. It is interesting to understand why a piece of music was written. Bravo!
The venue used by the Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra, the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center, serves to highlight the quality of this outstanding community orchestra! From the comfortable, accessible seating to the excellent sound, spending a Sunday afternoon listening to the Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra is a special treat!
This is a first-rate orchestra, I'm proud to be a part of it.
